Yahoo! blocked the viewing of free Yahoo! Mail accounts through email clients (Outlook/Outlook Express/Mozilla etc) in April 2002. It now offers this feature only to subscribers of its premium account, Yahoo! Mail Plus. If you have a Yahoo! Mail Plus subscription, then click here for setup instructions.
If you have the free account, someone has worked out a solution so that you too can use Outlook Express to view and reply your emails through Yahoo! Mail.
First, you need to download and install a software called YPOPs!. This free software provides easy to use and secure access to your Yahoo! Mail account in any email client. Click here to download.
Note: YPOPs only supports windows machines as of now. Developers are currently working on Linux and Mac versions.
After you are done with installing YPOPs! Follow the steps given below to configure your free Yahoo! Mail account with Outlook Express
